Retailers’ Initiative - Coffee

As part of the cooperation within the German Retailers Working Group, the project aims to promote living wages and incomes for small-scale producers in the coffee sector in Honduras and Peru. In light of the upcoming EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), the project seeks to develop scalable and impactful solutions together with relevant stakeholders, in line with development policy objectives. A particular focus lies on promoting responsible purchasing practices in the food retail sector, which can play a key role in improving living conditions along the supply chain.
