DIASCA Working Group Meeting Series: Forest Monitoring for Supply Chains Part 2

Dear DIASCA members,

After the successful relaunch of regular DIASCA meetings and webinars, we would like to cordially invite you to our next webinar on the 13th of March from 2 pm to 3:30 pm (CET).

In this webinar, we will hear from our special guest George Watene, Program Manager at the Global Coffee Platform, about the efforts of the Kenyan coffee sector in terms of coffee farm geolocation, forest monitoring, as well as hosting and sharing of data for EUDR compliance purposes. In his talk, George will shine a light on the successes already achieved and the challenges still remaining in Kenya's journey to compliance with international deforestation regulations.

George’s talk will be followed by an illustration on how the AIM4Commodities project supports countries in the implementation process and how open source tools can facilitate geolocation.

In the third part of this webinar, we give room for discussion by you, the participants, to exchange on tools, best practices and challenges, and your support needs.

We are looking forward to your plentiful participation and valuable discussions on your implementation strategies in face of the EUDR.
