Continuation of DIASCA Working Group Meeting Series: Advancing Transparency and Trust in Agriculture Supply Chains
Dear DIASCA members,
We cordially invite you to participate in our next Traceability and Governance Working Group meeting on the 4th of February from 2 pm to 3:30 pm (CET).
While the DIASCA supports the design and implementation of open-source digital public infrastructure (DPI), the DIASCA network supports the design and development of an open-source DPI in order to create an efficient “ecosystem” of digital applications and improve interoperability between systems. DPI is based on several existing digital infrastructures and software components. The open-source applications are primarily intended to support smallholders and producer organizations in effectively implementing the requirements of the EUDR.
Objectives
- Validate proposed action areas from the Working Paper
- Surface any new action areas of importance to the group that can be addressed in future sessions
- Demonstrate how to apply the proposed framework for specific country-commodities, and invite participants to do so
- Check-in on how concerns regarding readiness for EUDR have evolved over time
- Deeper dive on the recommended “integrity” approach for building more adaptive and trustworthy supply chains
- Demonstration of how we have begun to apply it in Honduras in context of a real emergent solution
- Country update: Honduras
- Country workplan and status: Kenya
