The project promotes sustainable agroecological practices through the adoption of agricultural standards and the transition to organic production, aiming to reduce environmental impact while improving the quality and productivity of agricultural products. Producers receive technical training to optimize key practices such as efficient water management, crop diversification, and the use of organic inputs. In collaboration with the private sector, access to innovative agricultural technologies—such as digital tools and monitoring systems—is facilitated, and entry into differentiated markets that value sustainability is supported.A key focus of the project is to strengthen resilience and adaptability to the climate crisis. Strategies such as agroforestry systems, crop diversification, the development of biofactories, and other sustainable approaches are implemented. These measures help producers respond more effectively to challenges such as droughts, irregular rainfall, and extreme weather events. In doing so, the project reduces the vulnerability of rural communities while promoting food security and the efficient use of natural resources. In the social dimension, the project implements targeted measures to improve working conditions, fostering safer, fairer, and discrimination-free workplaces. A particular emphasis is placed on gender equity, enabling women to actively participate in productive activities, training programs, and leadership roles. In this way, the project contributes to a more equitable distribution of opportunities and supports structural change. In addition, practices are promoted that ensure decent working hours, reduce informal employment, and strengthen occupational health and safety—aligned with international standards such as the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act. This contributes to social and economic sustainability along the entire supply chain. Finally, the project aims to sustainably increase producers’ incomes by improving the productivity and quality of their products. Strengthening local capacities, improving access to innovations, and working with the private sector lay the groundwork for fair pricing and policies that support a living income. At the same time, the share of responsibly produced agricultural raw materials is increased—a key step toward an economically and socially sustainable agricultural sector.
