Cooperation

Working together creates strength. The lack of sustainability in global agricultural supply chains and the current global crises require joint action by all stakeholders and the leveraging of synergies. We create alliances and project consortia with different partners and count on their innovations and expertise to achieve sustainable development goals. We emphasise long-term impact, for example through stable business relationships and linking smallholder farmers to the market. Only through cooperation between companies, civil society organisations and local stakeholders can due diligence obligations be fulfilled and proven approaches be transferred to new supply chains and regions.

We cooperate with all stakeholders who are committed to sustainable global agricultural supply chains. These include cooperatives, companies, certifiers, standards organisations, governments, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), associations, donors and foundations. We want our partners to contribute innovative ideas to solve global challenges in agricultural supply chains - be it through digital tools, technical or organisational developments, or financial products and services.

We welcome partners with innovative ideas or business models that contribute to the promotion of sustainable supply chains and those who are willing to scale up and financially support successful pilot projects. We support our partners in building networks and alliances and welcome both sustainability pioneers who want to implement a strategy with us and partners who are breaking new ground in this area. Wherever you are - talk to us!

Within SASI, our "Business Development" team is the central point of reference for cooperation with the private sector, national and multilateral donors such as the EU as well as foundations, NGOs and universities. We are the point of contact for all partners who would like to work with us to design, finance and implement projects to make global agricultural supply chains "Green, Fair and Inclusive".

We have extensive experience in more than 20 commodities and a diverse network of companies, foundations and NGOs in 59 countries. Thanks to our expertise and our network, we are ideally positioned to transform ideas into concrete projects. We are familiar with various formats of cooperation in practice, such as development partnerships with the private sector or co-financed projects.

Together with our main client, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), we focus on current topics such as compliance with EU legal requirements on corporate due diligence in the areas of deforestation and human rights. We can put you in touch with specific funding programmes for sustainable agricultural supply chains and invite you to apply for our current funding competitions with your project proposals.
