Initiative with Sector Organisation: Global Coffee Platform (GCP)

As part of a partnership with the Global Coffee Platform, public and private extension services are being trained to deliver more targeted training for coffee farmers. The goal is to sustainably increase their yields and incomes.In Uganda, so-called youth brigades are being established to carry out coffee tree rejuvenation measures. These brigades support farmers’ operations while also creating income-generating opportunities for young women and men.In Kenya, price transparency along the supply chain is being improved through the development of a platform that shares coffee price information with producers.
