Continuation of DIASCA Working Group Meeting Series : Meeting on Forest Monitoring for Sustainable Supply Chains
Dear DIASCA members,
The EUDR entering into full force has been postponed by one year and much remains to be done.
We therefore cordially invite you to participate in our next Forest Monitoring for Sustainable Supply Chains Working Group meeting on January 16th from 2 pm to 3:30 pm (CET).
With this meeting we will continue the regular DIASCA meetings as a webinar series in which stakeholders, especially from producing countries, can present their approaches to EUDR compliance. We are looking forward to hearing your implementation stories with all successes as well as challenges in order to share best practices in overcoming remaining challenges before the EUDR enters into full force.
While the DIASCA supports the design and implementation of open-source digital public infrastructure (DPI), the DIASCA network supports the design and development of an open-source DPI in order to create an efficient “ecosystem” of digital applications and improve interoperability between systems. DPI is based on several existing digital infrastructures and software components. The open-source applications are primarily intended to support smallholders and producer organizations in effectively implementing the requirements of the EUDR.
In this meeting we will have a look at the state of the digital public infrastructure (DPI) surrounding the EUDR and focus on select geospatial DPI building blocks. The exact agenda will be shared soon.
We are looking forward to seeing many of you participate and join for fruitful discussions around our endeavor to promote Digital Public Infrastructure.
Best regards and see you soon,
The DIASCA Team
